Acrylic painting on canvas, measuring 48 x 48 inches

Gabriel is a pop interpretation of the biblical archangel, inspired on a figure of Michelangelo's frescos of the ceiling of the Sistine chapel. Gabriel is an archangel with the power to announce God's will to mankind. He is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament, the Quran and the Kitáb-i-Aqdas. In Rousselet's pop representation he has eyes that can't be seen although we can feel his powerful look.

With his eyes looking to the humanity, Gabriel has the expression of impartiality and obedience.

The powerful look of the hidden eyes, or the eyes that can't be seen.
